  • Grief Support

Hoffmann’s weekly grief support group meetings are free of charge and open to the public, no reservations are required. You need not have a loved one on service to attend.

Adults Grief Support Group is for adults who have lost a loved. Meeting with the group allows for adults to gain support and begin the healing process.  We understand that adults heal in different ways and while some want to verbally express their emotions, others begin to heal by being in an environment with those who have experienced a similar loss. Our grief counselors will respect and support your wishes as to how much or how little support you need during your healing process.

Children and Teens Support Group is for children ages 4 to 17. Hoffmann Hospice understands that children process loss differently than adults. Our group is led by grief counselors specially trained to connect with children and teens with special techniques which allow the children to feel comfortable and safe while they begin to understand their emotions. Separated by age-appropriate groups, our young participants express their grief through healing exercises like group discussions, Pet Therapy and Heart Art. Call for more information or simply join our next group.

Healing Hearts (Parents who have lost children) is for adults who have suffered the loss of a child. This can include parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles etc. There is nothing like losing a child and Hoffmann understands that as we care for sick children and their families who are a part of our Starlight Pediatric Program.

    “Just for today

When my heart feels life breaking,

    I will stop and remember

that grief is the price we pay for loving

and the only reason I hurt is because

I had the privilege of loving so much.”
